I read that recently Skype has surpassed the 10 million mark of simultaneous users online. Everytime I checked it was less then this but I just checked now and it is true. This is an incredible amount of people! I wish other IM networks showed how many users are online so we could compare….

    Skype is not doing very well in fact. The CEO had to resign a few months ago because skype did not achieve the high objective ebay set when they were acquired. Because of that, skype lost a lot of money because part of the price negotiated during the acquisition was only to be given if skype did achieve those objectives.

    Yeah I read that. Also because of their business model most of these 10 million online probably don’t even pay Skype. They just use the free calls.
