Today I saw this laptop in a computer store in Krakow, Poland. Notice anything different about it? Yes, it’s got Ubuntu preinstalled on it. I’ve read about many companies doing this but it is the first time I’ve seen it in a shop here. I managed to snap this photo on my camera phone so sorry about the quality!

31|Aug|2008 2One more store with Linux pre-installed! Even if it doesn’t sell dozens of these, many more will notice it and start asking about Linux.

01|Sep|2008 3It seems that when actually offered preloaded Linux with full backing from the OEM, customers prefer it to Windows.

I was there around June this year (2008), did not see it yet, but this is great! One step forward again

02|Sep|2008 5Yeah i’ve read somewhere that asians and europeans prefer Linux, unfortunately we, (Americans, thanks to United States, we don’t know what our names is now), are obsessed with Windows.
