iPad or iDisappointed?

Well Apple launched their latest product in a wave of anticipation but this is one product which is not mind-blowing at all. In fact it is very average. The biggest let down for me is that there is no Multitasking available currently and also having no camera is a bit of a let down and with no USB ports it will be impossible to plug one in until someone brings one out specially for the iPhone-like connector.

I’m quite happy that my iPhone 3G from 2008 can in fact do more than the iPad, for example SMS and calls (not that you’d want to use something the size of an iPad to do this). Also the name, iPad? Really? It is obvious and boring. Not to mention the certain similarities it has with female hygiene products!

Overall I’m iDisappointed with the iPad (see what I did there?). Here’s hoping Apple turn it around in 2011 and that the next version of the iPhone OS exceeds expectations!

So far I have not heard any substantial praise for the iPad, only "It's shiny" and "It's from Apple".

Also, it doesn't fill any real gap, it's not a phone, and it is not a computer. Facebook applications (ie games such as farmville) are unusable, due to no flash. Browsing the part of the web that is usable while listening to your music, or streaming your favourite web-radio? Doesn't work, due to no Multitasking.

There are not even SD card slots or normal USB cable ports.

I don't know why your expectations were high… apple alway handles the idea of a bigger ipod touch… and the target of this ipad is to hit the sales of that gadget of sony (the one to read ebooks)… don't remember the name now… you wanted a phone… ok then why the hell you got an iphone for?… do you need another one? a camera…. ok… there are plenty of digital cameras that take photos a lot better than the iphone!!

By the way, Kaweh, you can't play farmville or any other game like that because apple hasn't bought the license of using flash plugin yet

What i still wonder is why the iphone is so expensive… it has a very disappointed camera and a mic (for that hight price)… but the rest is… a bloody ipod touch!!! i want an iphone but i won't pay MX$5000 (US$400) extras for that mic and camera… honestly!!! it's insane!!…

I really think Multi-tasking should have been included too. Nobody will use a device of this size if it can only do one thing at a time. On a phone it is more acceptable….
